We Provide Eye Evaluations and Vision-Restoring Surgeries.
The debilitating vision loss due to cataracts is easily cured by a 30-minute surgery, highlighting the critical need to expand the eye care sector in impoverished regions of the world.
Our volunteer ophthalmologists are trained in specialized surgical techniques specifically developed to remove advanced cataracts prevalent in developing countries and volunteer nurses and nursing students are trained in assisting ophthalmologists and optometrists.
Our goal is to empower local eye care providers to establish self-supporting eye clinics to offer permanent care to impoverished persons. Self-supporting eye clinics are being established with local physicians dedicated to serving the poor in Mexico, the Caribbean and South Pacific.
iSight Missions builds sustainable capacity, not dependency!
iSight Missions in partnership with the Hawaiian Eye Foundation/Project Vision is a resource for many Christians to support the battle against blindness.
Volunteers have travelled to: Africa, Asia and Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Eastern Europe, Mexico, and the South Pacific. Mission Projects are from 1 day to 2 weeks. Sight is typically restored to 10 and up to 300 people.
The World Health Organization estimates: Over 7 million people become blind every year. One person becomes blind every 5 seconds. One child becomes blind every minute.

IMPROVED LIVES
iSight Missions receives donations from our friends and churches to cover the cost for mission projects in collaboration with funding from our Partners, Project Vision & the Hawaiian Eye Foundation. Your donation will fund equipment, transportation, licenses, medications, team and other necessary costs for the mission programs.
Our Unique Approach: Unlike traditional charity models, iSight Missions offers an immediate, sustainable solution to the blind poor. Our work doesn't necessitate long-term financial support for food or clothing. Instead, we provide the gift of sight that empowers people to break free from poverty's grip, allowing them to educate their children so that the entire family can contribute to their communities.
Our Remarkable Impact: Imagine the profound impact of restoring sight to someone who has never witnessed the beauty of the world around them. In our 26th year, iSight Missions has been responsible for over 25,000 vision-restoring eye surgeries across 60 diverse locations worldwide. These life-changing procedures not only restore vision but also provide an immediate pathway out of poverty (World Economic Forum). It gives two people instant freedom; the blind person and their family member care taker.
For over 25 years the Gift of Sight has been at the forefront of our humanitarian work, changing the destinies of the disadvantaged blind in an unparalleled way. Our 501c3 non- profit has dedicated itself to bringing light & hope into the lives of those trapped in darkness. We need your partnership to continue this transformative journey.
Training Humanitarian Healers: Our mission doesn't stop at surgeries. We've been instrumental in training physicians of all ages in the complex and necessary surgical techniques required for humanitarian eye care. This empowers them to perform advanced procedures in remote, resource-limited areas, where the majority of the blind and disadvantaged reside.
Nurturing Future Leaders: We extend our impact by involving college and graduate students from all disciplines. Through hands-on participation, these students learn clinic and surgical assisting, fostering invaluable skills while igniting a passion for humanitarian service. Many go on to careers in medicine and related fields, creating a global network of compassionate change- makers.
Cultivating a Sustainable Humanitarian Spirit: Our dedication to training includes pre-medical doctors and nurses. We provide tailored programs for students who desire to go on to medical and nursing careers as well as for young physicians in their ophthalmology residency and fellowship training. These remarkable experiences instill a lifelong commitment to humanitarian / compassionate medical care. This ensures an iSight Missions legacy of compassionate physicians who continue to serve for decades to come.
Join Us in This Extraordinary iSight Journey: Over 25 years of humanitarian service and our momentum has never been greater. We are inviting you to be part of this remarkable movement. Your support will enable us to continue our life- transforming surgeries, training initiatives, and educational opportunities. Together, we can pave the way for a brighter future for the disadvantaged blind around the world.
Every dollar you donate creates ripples of change that reverberate through generations.
